Total Quality Management

Phase 1: Preassessment

Wigmore & Álvarez confirms intended use and target audience, communication guidelines and production specifications with client.

Phase 2: Briefing

A project brief is prepared with all key information, timelines and reference material. If required, Wigmore & Álvarez undergoes product training.

Phase 3: Adaptation

A native-speaking translator produces initial translation. Next, an editor performs thorough copy editing for linguistic accuracy, technical and legal fidelity, clarity of expression and cultural appropriateness. Last, a native-speaking technical expert reviews foreign language version as needed. Glossary research and development takes place throughout adaptation process.

Phase 4: Client Review & Refinement

Client and/or client's representative in the target market reviews and approves the foreign language copy. Wigmore & Álvarez incorporates any client revisions and prepares foreign language copy for production.

Phase 5: Production

Client and/or Wigmore & Álvarez proceeds with type/layout production, studio recording or HTML file preparation. Throughout the production phase, all materials undergo several rounds of proofreading and other quality checks, as appropriate.

Phase 6: Final Quality Control

Wigmore & Álvarez proofs final deliverables and then presents all materials to client for final approval.
